Carol L. Perrington is Coordinator for Special Education Services at Millsboro Middle School. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Mansfield University and a Master’s degree in Instruction from University of Delaware. She has 60 hours of training in Positive Behavior Support; extensive training in Special Education law from her work with the Parent Information Center of Delaware; and has received training in Transition for secondary students. Carol has 16 years of classroom experience with adolescent students with special needs beginning in 1978; 12 years experience working with the community and parents through READ-ALOUD Delaware, PIC, and Delaware Technical & Community College; and this is her fourth year serving as a special education coordinator. She enjoys meeting with families and students and hopes to spend more time in the classroom this year now that the school has fewer students than the Sussex Central Middle School. She is married with two grown daughters and one son-in-law, loves the outdoors, draws and paints in her spare time, and hopes to work in the after-school program this year with the Art Club.
